Projects-ception lol.After creating my online résumé, I was quite frustrated by how little I could say about my programming work.Sure, I could have started a blog...But I found it interesting to have a subdomain of "laurentstienon.com" pointing to a completely different site, specifically designed for this purpose.⬇️ Play with the frameworks and languages by grabbing them with your mouse !

🧪 Beyond the difficulty of working with a framework as recent (and therefore poorly documented) as Qwik, the hardest part was finding design ideas — first for the general UI and the overall feel of the site.
📚 And then, given the amount of information to read, I couldn't just display massive blocks of text like that, without anything else. So I racked my brain to find and imagine some ways to make reading smoother and more pleasant. But design isn't something that comes naturally to me : I had to take the time to get it right.
⚙️ What fascinates me about computer science — and more specifically in my job as a developer — is the ability to create. With our tools and knowledge base, we can imagine websites, solutions, and software, then bring them into reality. That's what drives me to work 2 hours more when I come back home after a 8 hour long workday.
🚀 When I started building this "sub-resume", I had just discovered the Qwik framework. The topic was a perfect opportunity to practice this framework in a real-life exercise. Besides, one could imagine that people might be interested in having an online portfolio or resume. So it was a great opportunity to train myself for that kind of request (I mean, you never know ...)
🔄 I will simply update the content of this site with the new projects I plan to carry out in the future. The look and features of the site will probably not change much. That said, this is not the only "sub-resume" idea I have in mind...
